What Makes Our Jumpers Different

Why not 100% Cotton?

We get asked this a lot. Why aren’t your jumpers made from 100% cotton?

And honestly, it was never about what’s cheapest or easiest. Like everything at Mayrose Avenue, it came down to testing, wearing, washing, and paying attention to the details.

And this fabric blend just made sense.

Here’s why: 100% cotton sounds great in theory. It’s soft, natural, and breathable. But in reality, it can stretch, shrink, lose shape, and fade over time. Especially if you wear your favourite jumper on repeat (like we do).

Cotton gives you that "lived in" feel, but it’s the polyester in our blend that keeps things together. It holds the shape, helps resist pilling, stops the colour from fading after a few washes, and lets your jumper survive those “I forgot to hang it up” dryer moments.

For us, it’s never about cutting corners.
It’s about creating jumpers that feel good, wear well, and hold up (because no one wants a piece that’s only good for two washes).

This fabric decision was intentional, just like everything else we do at Mayrose Avenue. Our first jumper collection was created to set a standard. Not chasing trends or fast fashion moments, but building wardrobe staples you can rely on, season after season.

This is where it starts. Thoughtful details, tested fabrics, and jumpers you’ll actually want to wear on repeat.
